Stone Sour Guitarist Josh Rand Checks into Treatment Center, Will Miss Upcoming Tour
If you’re going to any of Stone Sour’s upcoming shows with Halestorm or Red Sun Rising and the Dead Deads, don’t expect to see Josh Rand. According to the band’s Facebook page, the guitarist has checked into a treatment center, and will therefore miss these dates:
“Unfortunately, Josh Rand has checked into a treatment center and will not be joining Stone Sour for the Canada/US tour. Though he will be back as soon as possible, we ask you all to keep him in your thoughts. Until then, the rest of Stone Sour will see you all on tour in Jan/Feb. Thank you.”
Naturally, this begs the question “For what is Rand being treated?” Our natural assumption would be alcohol or drugs, but that might be unfair on our part. Whatever it is, we’re glad Rand is getting help, and hope he’s well enough to rejoin the band soon.
