Metal Grammys 2018: Other Winners Metalheads Might Care About

We’ve covered the truly metal aspects of the Grammys already, namely Body Count performing “Black Hoodie” and Mastodon winning their first for Best Metal Performance. So if that’s all you care about, you can go to a better post.

For the rest of you, we know metalheads don’t listen to metal exclusively, and that some not-quite-metal bands you care about might be nominated for a Grammy this year. So, in the name of being the most trusted source in entertainment news, here are some of tonight’s other noteworthy winners:

Best Rock Performance: Leonard Cohen, “You Want It Darker”

Best Rock Album: The War On Drugs, A Deeper Understanding

Best Alternative Music Album: The National, Sleep Well Beast

Best Rap Song: Kendrick Lamar, “HUMBLE.”

Best Country Song: Chris Stapleton, “Broken Halos”

Best Contemporary Christian Music Album: Zach Williams, Chain Breaker.
