Life of Agony Officially Split with Drummer Sal Abruscato; Replacement Announced
I don’t think this is gonna shock anyone, given that rumors of his departure began a month ago, but: Life of Agony have officially parted ways with Sal Abruscato. The drummer, also known for his work with Type O Negative and as the frontman of A Pale Horse Named Death, will be replaced by Veronica Bellino. Honestly, I’d never heard of Bellino before, but her resumé is impressive: she’s worked with Jeff Beck, Carmine Appice, and LL Cool J, amongst others.
& Please give a warm welcome to our new Drummer @VeronicaBellino, Best known for her work wth Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Jeff Beck, DMC, Richie Sambora/Orianthi, & Carmine Appice/Slamm.
We’re so incredibly happy to have her on the team. More updates on the way! pic.twitter.com/Sy0af75Lg9— LIFE OF AGONY (@OffiLIFEOFAGONY) January 22, 2018
Somewhat interestingly, as of this writing, neither Life of Agony nor Abruscato have commented on the cause of the split… although Sal previously hinted that he both wants to spend more time with his family and concentrate on A Pale Horse Named Death.
Stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, here’s some video of Bellino rockin’ out, lest you doubt her skills:
