Dude Gets Ticket for Speeding to New Andrew W.K. Single; Andrew W.K. Offers to Pay the Fine
In case there was any doubt that the ‘W.K.’ in ‘Andrew W.K.’ stands for ‘Wicked Kool,’ check this shit out.
One of Mr. W.K.’s fans, Luke Mitchell recently revealed on Twitter that he received a £100 (roughly $139) speeding ticket while lead-footing it to the perpetually-dressed-for-a-whites-party singer’s new single, “Music is Worth Living For.” And upon learning this information, He Who Comes to Party Hard, Party Hard, Party Hard, Party Hard, Party Hard, Party Hard offered to pay for the ticket. No, seriously:
Casually driving down the M4 and @AndrewWK new single comes on @DanielPCarter @Radio1RockShow and now I have a speeding ticket. Totally worth it.

What a mensch! I know that’s not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, but still… there aren’t that many well-known musicians out there who’d ever make an offer like this one. As a bonus, I’m sure it blew Luke’s mind into a comatose state.
If you haven’t heard it yet, check out “Music is Worth Living For” below… although maybe not if you’re driving. The song will appear on Andrew W.K.’s new album, You’re Not Alone, which comes out March 2 via Sony. Pre-order it here.
