Props to Revolver for digging up this video of Phil Anselmo expressing admiration for Andrew Dice Clay Pantera teaming up with Slayer’s Kerry King to perform “Raining Blood” during a show at Joe’s Garage in Fort Worth, Texas, on May 19, 1989. For some sense of just how fuckin’ long ago that was, remember that Cowboys from Hell was still fourteen months away from release, and that Reign in Blood was less than three years old. In other words, everyone who was lucky enough to be at this show really, truly witnessed history being made.
