New Covers to Which I’ll Never Listen, Part I: Five Finger Death Punch Play the Offspring
Today, Five Finger Death Punch complete their contractual obligation to their now-former label, Prospect Park, in the same manner by whicngsh so many bands have completed their contractual obligations to a label: with the release of a greatest hits collection. And, of course, with a greatest hits collection comes one or two new (or in this case, “new”) songs to try and get fans to purchase something they mostly own already. And one of these new songs is a cover of The Offspring’s “Gone Away.” If you, like me, are not sure at a glance which one is “Gone Away,” it’s the one where the guy is trying to find Heaven on his GPS.
ANYWAY, I’m not gonna listen to the FFDP version because I don’t see why I should be made to suffer cruel and unusual punishment for the sake of writing about rock music. But I will post it below because traffic. Never say MetalSucks isn’t transparent.
