Megadeth’s Dirk Verbeuren Shares Playthrough Of His Own Drumception Track!

Drumception 2017 is coming to a close, but not before one final video blast!

Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren wrote and recorded a completely original song only on the drums using Superior Drummer 3, and today we’re sharing with you a playthrough video of Dirk working his way through his own track on an electronic drum kit. Watch the master at work! It doesn’t get any better than this.

We’re inviting you to record your own song over Dirk’s drums — using guitars, bass, keyboards, didgeridoo, cowbell, whatever you like (just no vocals) — to enter our annual Drumception contest. Dirk himself will be sorting through all the entries, choosing his favorites, and naming the winners.

The deadline to enter is 11:59pm EST on Thursday, November 30th. You can enter using the form here. One grand prize winner will receive Superior Drummer 3, The Rock Foundry SDX, The Metal Foundry SDX and The Progressive Foundry (the entire ‘Foundry’ suite), while two runners up will each receive a copy of EZdrummer 2 and the Metal Machine EZX pack.
