Listen to Metallica Play “Damage Inc.” Live in West Germany in 1987
Metallica have unveiled a live recording of “Damage Inc.” captured in Essen, West Germany in January of ’87. The audio comes from the super-duper-extra-special-deluxe re-mastered edition of Master of Puppets, which comes out November 10 (pre-order it here).
This would have been less than three months after Jason Newsted made his live debut replacing the late, great Cliff Burton. Shit sounds pretty tight, and the band was smart enough to let Newsted’s bass be audible. Listen:
