Listen: The New Five Finger Death Punch Song is “Trouble”
Five Finger Death Punch have released “Trouble,” their first new song since both Ivan Moody’s most recent attempt to overcome alcohol addiction and the band’s settlement with their old label, Prospect Park. If you are a Five Finger Death Punch fan, I sincerely hope you love the song like it was your own child. Please skip the rest of this blog post and go directly to the track below.
Everyone else: holy shit, how laughably ridiculous is this song? I mean, check out these lyrics!
I don’t look for trouble
Trouble looks for me
That’s how it’s always been
That’s how it’s gonna be
I’m looking down on you
You’re looking up to me
I never saw you coming
You never saw me!
WOW. Those are at once clichéd and nonsensical. Moody even delivers them in spoken-word form, for maximum goofiness. I couldn’t make it past that first verse, those lyrics are so silly. Maybe you’ll have more fortitude than I did.
“Trouble” will be one of two new songs included on an FFDP greatest hits collection, which should be out sometime in December.
