Decapitated: Bail Set for Vocalist and Bassist

As previously reported, Decapitated members Rafał “Rasta” Piotrowski (vocals) and Hubert Więcek (bass) made their first appearance in court this week. As expected, Piotrowski has now been formally charged with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree rape, while Więcek has been charged with first-degree kidnapping and third-degree rape. Superior Court Judge John Cooney set bail for each musician at $100,000 — the same amount that was set for Decapitated bandmates Wacław “Vogg” Kiełtyka (guitars) and Michał Łysejko (drums) last week. As was also the case with Kiełtyka and Łysejko, Piotrowski and Więcek were ordered to surrender their passports and forbidden from having contact with their bandmates while they await trial.

The Spokesman-Review reports that Piotrowski’s attorney, Jeffry Finer, “said the men will be pursuing bail, but are waiting on documents from Poland to ‘impress the court,’ which could take over a week.” Finer went on to note that “Among this group, there are a number of advanced degrees and zero criminal history.”
