Flight 666 Has Landed Safely in HEL on Friday the 13th
Breathe easy, everyone: Finnair flight 666 has landed safely today in HEL!
No, Finnair didn’t have a brush with Satan — HEL are the call letters for the airport in Helsinki, Finland. The air traffic schedulers who chose the numerical designation for this daily flight from Copenhagen must’ve had a good chuckle… either that or they’re a metalhead with a healthy sense of humor.
What’s more, today is Friday the 13th. And while this isn’t the first time flight 666 has flown to HEL on a Friday the 13th, the fact that it’s October — a month known for witches, ghouls, Halloween and all manner of scary things — makes today’s flight the most metal imaginable.
The last time Flight 666 to HEL took to the skies on Friday the 13th — back in January — Pilot Juha-Pekka Keidasto told RT, “If there’s some passenger who is anxious about this 666, our cabin crew is always happy to help them.”
Happy Friday the 13th, everyone.
