“Kings of Carnage”: I Dunno, it Still Sounds Like Winds of Plague are on That 2008 Shit to Me
My esteemed colleague Phil Boozeman recently praised the new Winds of Plague album, Blood of My Enema, for being “on that 2017 shit.” And while I agree that the album (or at least what I’ve heard of it) is superior to most WoP outings, I think calling it “modern” is kind of a stretch.
Take, for example, the group’s new single, “King of Corndogs.” A horrible song? Not really. A good song? Not really. A song that could have been recorded in 2007? Ab-so-fuckin’-lutely. This is just The New Reign with better production.
Hm. Now I want a corndog.
While I go take care of that, you feel free to listen to the song below. Blouse of My Enemy comes out October 27 on eOne. You can pre-order it here.
