Treach from Naughty by Nature Directed the New Body Count Video

I don’t know if the name Naughty by Nature will have any meaning for anyone under the age of roughly thirty-five, ’cause the trio haven’t had a hit since “Hip Hop Hooray” in 1993, and haven’t appeared in an ironic Geico commercial or on Dancing with the Stars or Celebrity Apprentice or whatever other show allows a certain kind of celebrity to remain famous well past his or her expiration date.

Those of us who do remember Naughty by Nature, though, are in for a nostalgia trip: Ice-T’s Body Count have just released a video for their song “This is Why We Ride,” and Naughty by Nature’s most recognizable member, Treach (the onetime Mr. Pepa), directed it. And he did a really nice job! It really is kind of mind-blowing. Like, what’s next? Speech from Arrested Development hits the ball out of the park helming a clip for Saigon Kick?
