Converge’s New Song is Downright “Reptilian”

One of the great things about Converge is, you always know they’re gonna do something awesome, but you don’t always know quite what that awesome thing will be. Take, for example, their new song, “Reptilian”: it opens with a tight, relatively polished-sounding, totally epic elephants marching riff before it turns into the kind of hardcore moshathon for which the band is known. Don’t kill me for saying this, but it’s the kind of thing we usually expect from a, er, different kind of metalcore band. But Converge prove here they can do it as well as anyone. Shock of shocks.
