Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine Visited the New York Stock Exchange
In advance of Megadeth’s show with the Scorpions at Madison Square Garden tomorrow evening, Dave Mustaine swung by the New York Stock Exchange this morning to… peddle booze? That sounds like a joke, but according to a posting on the NYSE Facebook page, Mustaine to “greet his fans… outside on the NYSE facade balcony.” He does not appear to have be have been given the honor of ringing the morning’s opening bell to signal the start of trading. I’m not even sure what “greeting his fans” entailed in this case, but based on the below photo, it does seem that hocking his branded alcoholic beverages was the main priority here.
Just to be clear: I’m not, like, offended or whatever that this happened. I’m honestly just confused as to WHY it happened. Granted, I don’t spend a whole lot of time following the NYSE in great detail, so maybe celebrities swinging by to use the balcony as their own personal Home Shopping Network is regular occurrence. It just seems odd is all.
ANYWAY, welcome back to New York, Dave. If you need any weed, you know how to find me.
