Quicksand’s Tom Capone Arrested for Allegedly Shoplifting
Quicksand are currently in the midst of their first North American tour in five years… but they seem to have hit a snag already: Lambgoat reports that guitarist Tom Capone, age 47, was arrested in Maricopa County, Arizona this past Tuesday, September 12. Capone is said to have been charged with “shoplifting-concealment” and “resist arrest-physical force.” His mugshot, of course, has already found its way online.
As a result of Capone’s arrest, the band was forced to perform as a three-piece for that evening’s show at the Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix. You can check out some fan-filmed video of that performance below:
Unfortunately, that’s all we know right now. We’ll share additional updates as they become available. Meanwhile, Quicksand’s first new album since 1995, Interiors, is scheduled for release later this year on Epitaph. You can listen to the first single, “Illuminant,” here.
