Stream Vattnet’s New Self-Titled Album in Full!
By now you most likely already know the story: band formerly known as Vattnet Viskar shortens their name to Vattnet, changes up their sound completely, and still fucking rocks. Gone are the bleak black metal landscapes of the band’s past and in their place is tuneful, melodic, semi-proggy metal with tons of clean singing. Sure, some fans are angry, but not us: if anything, we’ve got to hand it to these guys for being so damn talented at two distinct styles of music, but really we’re just digging it entirely for what it is.
Time for an overly reductive synopsis of the band’s new sound referencing other bands you’ve heard of: fans of Coheed and Cambria, Circa Survive and Dredg outta really dig Vattnet’s new album. It’s so much more than that, of course, though; press play below and find out why we like it so much.
Vattnet’s self-titled full-length drops September 15 on New Damage Records; pre-order it here (physical) or here (digital).
