Cannibal Corpse Announce New Album, Red Before Black
We knew this was coming, but consider it officially official: Metal Injection reports that Metal Blade Records’ distro’s site reports (link removed) that Cannibal Corpse report that they’ll release a new album called Red Before Black on November 3. In addition to the usual release formats, there will be a super-duper limited edition (300 copies) opaque red vinyl.
Red Before Black reunites the band with death metal über-producer Erik Rutan, which is also great news: the three albums they made with Rutan between 2006 and 2012, Kill, Evisceration Plague, and Torture were arguably the strongest releases of the Corpsegrinder era.
Unfortunately, there’s no music to hear yet. But there is a lo-res album cover, which looks characteristically gross:
The tracklist is similarly Cannibal Corpse appropriate:
- Only One Will Die
- Red Before Black
- Code of the Slashers
- Shedding My Human Skin
- Remaimed
- Firestorm Vengeance
- Heads Shoveled Off
- Corpus Delicti
- Scavenger Consuming Death
- In the Midst of Ruin
- Destroyed Without a Trace
- Hideous Ichor
Presumably there’s a debut single right around the corner. In the meantime, don’t forget that Cannibal Corpse goes on tour with Power Trip and Gatecreeper the very same day this album comes out! Get dates here.
