What Do You Guys Think of Architects? Here’s Their New Song, “Doomsday”
What do you guys think of Architects?
They’re not a band I’ve ever personally paid attention to or that we’ve covered much on MetalSucks. I know they have their fans, but to me they were just a bit late to the metalcore party to be taken seriously.
That said, this new tune “Doomsday” is catchy. I totally get it. It’s a well-written song.
The track also has emotional significance for the band members and their fans: it’s the first to be released since the untimely loss of guitarist Tom Searle to cancer, and was constructed from an unfinished song of his before he passed. Tom’s brother, Dan, the band’s drummer, explains, “Doomsday was a song that Tom had started but never got to finish. Completing it for him was a massive responsibility. I hope you all enjoy.”
Check it out below. No word on whether this song is from a planned album or just a one-off.
