Code Error: Current and Former Members of Wormrot Launch New Project

Back in 2015, when Wormrot parted ways with their original drummer, Fitri, it seemed to be under less-than-amicable circumstances. Specifically, the band alleged that Fitri more or less dropped off the face of the planet and stopped returning their phone calls.

I guess they’ve patched things up, though! (Either that, or Fitri finally realized that his phone has been in airplane mode for the past two years.) Fitri hasn’t rejoined Wormrot, but is he playing bass in Code Error, a new grind band featuring two current Wormrotters: vocalist Arif Rot and Fitri’s successor, Vijesh. Rounding out the line-up is Tiong, guitarist for the Malaysian grindcore band Tools of the Trade. In other words, Wormrot guitarist Rasyid  is the only member of the band not involved in Code Error.

The group has now released video from their first rehearsal (below), and, unsurprisingly, it sounds promising. Maybe if we’re lucky we’ll get an official recording soon so we can really dig in. In the meantime…
