Video: Brian Johnson Joins Muse On Stage for “Back in Black”
We haven’t seen much of Brian Johnson since the iconic singer parted ways with AC/DC following a diagnosis of allegedly irreversible hearing loss. Save for a guest appearance with Paul Rodgers earlier this year, Johnson’s had to sit mostly idle while he watched the Axl Rose-fronted version of AC/DC tour the world.
But Johnson got to experience the spotlight once again last night when he joined Muse for a performance of the track for which he is best known, “Back in Black,” at Muse’s Reading Festival headline performance.
Check out a couple of clips of the performance below. Johnson sounds pretty good to me, even if he’s not totally on key (was he ever? and do we even care?). With reports that he’s been able to gain back some of his hearing, it sure is a shame AC/DC deemed him unfit to perform… but perhaps he’ll be back (in black) next time around.
