Septicflesh Debut New Song + Video, “Enemy of Truth”

Septicflesh’s new single, “Enemy of Truth,” represents everything good about orchestral black metal. We toss around words like “epic” and “cinematic” a lot, but if they don’t apply here, they never do. The militaristic horns; the sweeping strings; the fatalistic choir; they’re all great, and they’re all in service of a song that’s heavy and groovy and empowering. I mean, this song is Dimmu Borgir Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia/Death Cult Armageddon-era-level good. They shoulda called this song “Ally of Your Ears.”
