Myrkur Debuts New Song + Video, “Ulvinde”
After last week’s brief foray into English language not-quite-black metal, Myrkur has now released the more traditionally Myrkur-esque ethereal black metal track “Ulvinde.” The title is Danish for “She-Wolf,” and according to NPR, the lyrics make reference to ” destroy[ing] evil with evil;” in this regard, the song’s segue from funereal to aggro and back again seems appropriate, a true codification of sound and lyrical theme.
But even if you don’t care to think about that kinda shit, it’s a good song, and you should check it out. Also, as a bonus, the video is very pretty.
Check out “Ulvinde” below. The song will appear on Myrkur’s new album, Mareridt, which comes out September 15 via Relapse, and can be pre-ordered here.
