Whomever runs Agoraphobic News really blew it by not calling themselves “Agoraphobic Newsbleed.” But we’ll forgive them for this most grievous of oversights because they got this interview with The Black Dahlia Murder’s Brian Eschbach, in which the guitarist reveals that the band’s new album is called Nightbringers, and will be out October 6:

That would be exciting enough news on its own, but the band has also posted the below image on social media, which, we can assume, is the cover art for Nightbringers:

The clever chaps over at Metal Injection have noticed that last month, a nearly identical image was posted online by Kristian Wåhlin, better known to most metal fans as Necrolord, the revered artist behind the covers for such albums as Emperor’s In the Nightside Eclipse, At the Gates’ Slaughter of the Soul, Dissection’s Storm of the Light’s Bane, and, of course, The Black Dahlia Murder’s own Nocturnal.

So that’s all very, very exciting. With the band beginning their run on this year’s Summer Slaughter tomorrow, expect more news in the coming weeks. Maybe, if we’re really lucky, we’ll even get a new single soonish. Fingers crossed…
