Watch: Corey Taylor and Jonathan Davis Dedicated Songs to Chester Bennington Last Night
With thoughts and praise for Chester Bennington still pouring in from every corner of the music community, those with the most powerful voices of all — Bennington’s peers who shared the ability to move millions with their music — have been doing their part as well.
Last night both Stone Sour and Korn dedicated songs to Bennington on the groups’ tour stop together in Mansfield, MA.
An audibly choked up and visibly upset Corey Taylor dedicated Stone Sour’s “Through Glass” to the Linkin Park frontman, saying, “We all lost somebody today. I lost a friend. And this was one of his favorite songs. I wanna dedicate it to him. Chester, we will fucking miss you.” You can hear Taylor’s full tribute in the first video below, with a closer view of only part of it in the second clip:
Later on in the night, Jonathan Davis spoke over the intro of “4 U,” offering, “I want to dedicate this song tonight to our homeboy, Chester Bennington y’all. Y’all make some noise for Chester, we love you brother!”
