The Twitter Account of Chester Bennington’s Wife Was Hacked

The Twitter account of Chester Bennington’s wife Talinda appears to have been hacked just hours after the news broke that he’d taken his own life yesterday.

The Independent reports that seven messages were posted, including accusations that Talinda was having an affair with Bennington’s bandmate Mike Shinoda and that she was glad Chester killed himself. All of the allegations are, of course, false. The tweets had typos, utilized poor grammar, and the style and tone were out of character from her past posts.

The tweets have since been deleted and Talinda’s account recovered, but here are some screen shots taken before the offending posts were pulled:

It should go without saying what we think of the scum that would attack a person whose husband just took his own life. Absolute scum.
