Warbeast Debut Scarface-Inspired New Song, “Punishment for Gluttony”
Warbeast’s “Punishment for Gluttony” may or may not be the second metal song in a week week to draw inspiration from the movie Scarface (the DePalma/Pacino version, because too many people don’t even realize that the movie is a remake). The first, naturally, was Arch Enemy’s “The World is Yours,” which I can’t confirm has anything to do Scarface. But “Punishment” definitely does, as vocalist Bruce Corbitt reveals that there are “some actual lines in this song directly from the movie.”
Not that it really matters — the song will rip you a new asshole. It could be about Smurfs: The Lost Village and nothing would change that.
Check out “Punishment for Gluttony” below! The track will appear on Warbeast’s new album, Enter the Arena, which comes out August 4 on Housecore. It will likely be the band’s final album, since Corbitt was recently forced to retire from singing as a result of being diagnosed esophageal cancer. Pre-order the record here.
