MASTODONNA — It’s the Mash-Up of Mastodon and Madonna You’ve Always Wanted!

I don’t recall what exactly the conversation was or how high either of us were, but a couple of months ago Vince and I decided Mastodon and Madonna would make an amazing match for a mashup known as, naturally, Mastodonna. He immediately threw in “Curl of the Burl” as the clear-cut winner for the Mastodon portion, and since the video for “Like a Prayer” is responsible for several of my fetishes and queer tendencies, it seemed only natural to stick the two together.

The ensuing concoction, created by our friend Andrew Baena, is perhaps more thematically cohesive than either of us imagined it could be. There’s filth, sex, religion, depravity — everything wholesome one could hope to find when combining the patron saint of proud sluts everywhere with the biggest goofballs in heavy music.
