Horseburner Release New Video, Set to Embark on Tour
We’ve sung Horseburner’s praises before, but here’s a quick refresher: they’re one of our absolute favoritest up and coming bands in the stoner metal genre right now. Where so many bands are content to recycle age-old genre tropes, Horseburner have found ways to breathe new life and excitement into even these most jaded of ears. We hosted a stream of their most recent album Dead Seeds, Barren Soil here on MetalSucks last year, and we’re counting down the days until their next effort finds its way into the world via their new label, Hellmistress Records (which will re-release Dead Seeds later this year).
It doesn’t hurt that their live shows are absolutely phenomenal, too. I’ve already had the pleasure of seeing them twice, and I’ll have another opportunity when they play Saint Vitus next week. They’ll be touring with Cavern — whose 2015 album Outsiders we also streamed here — making for what’ll surely be a wild night of whiskey and beer-fueled good times. And what’s more, Quitters, a new band with none other than MetalSucks contributor Kelsey Chapstick on drums, will be opening the NY date, too. Full tour dates below.
Horseburner have released a new music video for “Eleleth” to coincide with the pending launch of their tour. Like the band itself, the video is at once earnest, creepy and outright weird, featuring both a mystical, mysterious woman guiding the band on a journey and one of the grossest / most awesome eating scenes you’ve ever seen. The clip was shot and directed by Eric Merrow of Merrow Visuals. Watch it underneath the tour dates.
