Black Sabbath Teasing The Ten Year War (Whatever That Is)
Black Sabbath have released the following video tease, which strongly suggests that they’re going to release something called The Ten Year War on September 29:
Although we have no idea what the heck The Ten Year War will be, The PRP notes that “back in the late ’70s the band released a promotional book of the same name.” I suppose it’s possible they’re re-releasing that book, but that seems both anti-climactic and unlikely. I think there’d be a real audience for a concept album chronicling the Michigan–Ohio State football rivalry of the ’60s and ’70s, but I doubt that’s it, either. Mostly likely, it’s some kind of home video. Fingers crossed, that video is just ninety minutes of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler rolling around laughing in all the reunion money they made without Bill Ward, but it will probably be like, I dunno, a legit documentary about the band or something boring like that.
Sabbath will allegedly reveal all this Thursday, June 22, so I guess we’ll find out then.
