When the line-up for Summer Slaughter 2017 was officially announced earlier this week, the trek’s organizers promised that more bands would be added to the bill shortly. And now they have, indeed, announced another band for the tour: The Faceless.

Which makes sense. For one thing, The Faceless are, and always have been, signed to Sumerian Records, whose founder, Ash Avildsen, is also the man behind Summer Slaughter. For another thing, they’re Summer Slaughter veterans, having been on multiple iterations of the tour.

On the other hand, though, it seems like a real risk: The Faceless just cancelled two tours back-to-back. Granted, those tours were both on other continents, but still. A band needs to have its shit at least somewhat together to tour, and evidence strongly suggests that at this time, The Faceless’ shit is unstable at best. So start taking your bets as to whether or not The Faceless actually end up doing this thing.

One thing that you don’t have to bet on is that the tour will definitely happen with or without The Faceless, and will include other killer bands like The Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus, and Origin. All the dates have now been announced! Get ’em below:
