Trent Reznor Says Nine Inch Nails Will Release a New EP This Summer
Like Maynard James Keenan, I’ve got good news and I’ve got bad news.
The bad news is, if you ordered any vinyl from Nine Inch Nails recently, you probably received an e-mail today in which NIN mastermind Trent Reznor apologized for “substantial” delays in recent orders. To his credit, Reznor takes the blame for the delays, in the e-mails, explaining that they’re the result of “a variety of quality control issues” and his being “obsessive about getting it right.” Reznor is now hoping to be able to ship these products out at the end of June and beginning of August.
The good news is, in this very same e-mail, Reznor broke this bit of news:
“Did you know there’s a new top-secret Nine Inch Nails EP that will be released before the first shows we do this summer? Did you know ‘Not the Actual Events’ was the first part of a trilogy of related EPs that will be released about 6-8 months apart? Now you do. More information on this shortly…”
Given that the band’s first show of the summer is scheduled for July 23, that means we are no more than seven weeks away from another NIN EP! Now we just have to hope it’s better than Not the Actual Events.
More details as we get ’em.
