Ministry “Borrow” New Album Title from Ice Cube

Ministry have announced that their new album will be called AmeriKKKant. Maybe you think that title is clever. Maybe you think that title is silly. One thing you should not think: that title is original. ‘Cause it’s a variation on the name of an Ice Cube record from almost thirty years ago.

Funny coincidence: the Ministry album will include a guest appearance by Cube’s former N.W.A. bandmate, Arabian Prince.

Less funny coincidence: Ministry mastermind Al Jourgensen toured with Cube as part of Lollapalooza ’92. The rumor was always that the two didn’t get along very well, but who the heck knows.

The Ministry album will also include guest spots from Fear Factory’s Burton Seabell, DJ Swamp (ex-Beck), and Lord Of The Cello. It’s being crowdfunded, and can be pre-ordered here.
