This past Friday, May 19, Metallica’s Robert Trujillo paid tribute to the late Chris Cornell by performing a “Black Hole Sun” bass cover during the band’s performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. Honestly, the Soundgarden classic does not translate very well to the bass… but still, it’s impossible not to appreciate the sentiment.
