Pig Destroyer Interviewed in New Showtime Promo for the Returning Twin Peaks
In case you haven’t heard, Twin Peaks is coming back as a limited series on Showtime. Will it be any good? Who the heck knows. But it’s happening.
So. Today, Showtime released a five-minute video to promote the series, and said video includes interviews with star Kyle McLaughlin, celebrity fan/Lost creator Damon Lindeloff, the creators of a Twin Peaks fanzine, and… 4/5ths of Pig Destroyer. Scott Hull must have been in the john or something.
Why are 4/5ths of Pig Destroyer interviewed in the promo? Just as fans, I guess — they’re never identified by name. Stranger still, the video cuts to the band directly after a Showtime executive has been talking about how he meets tons of fans who weren’t even born yet when the show first aired in 1990 — but the youngest member of PxDx is drummer Adam Jarvis, who was born in ’83.
Not that I’m complaining. As a Pig Destroyer fanboy, I’m happy to see the band do whatever whenever wherever. This appearance is just out of left field is all.
ANYWAY, watch the video below. Appropriately, Pig Destroyer appear at the 4:20 mark:
