Rob Zombie Posts, Quickly Deletes Photo with Unmasked Ghost Frontman
Sad to say it, but whatever illusion there is with regards to the identity of Ghost’s Papa Emeritus is dead. Although he attempted to keep his true name and face a secret for as long as he could, everyone now knows that he’s Tobias Forge. I mean, even Tobias Forge admits he’s Papa Emeritus. So it’s not at all in dispute.
Okay. Bummer, but by no means the end of the world; I’m sure Ghost will continue to be very popular.
Still, for some reason, a photo of the Ghost frontman without his costume was deleted from Rob Zombie’s Instagram page not long after it was initially posted today. Luckily our friends at Metal Injection nabbed a screencap of the post, in which Zombie also calls Papa by his given name:
I’m assuming the photo was taken down at the request of either Forge or someone on his team (e.g., a manager or publicist), but I’m speculating. In any case, although there’s something kinda admirable about making an effort to keep the mystery surrounding Ghost alive, I don’t think that cat is going back into its bag.
Now we just have to wait and see if Forge takes retribution with his own social media post, in which he refers to Zombie as ‘Robert Cummings.’
