Porcupine Tree Release Info on Upcoming Book Detailing the Band’s History
Hot on the heels of Steven Wilson’s recently released new solo track, we just received news about an upcoming book about Porcupine Tree titled Time Flies: The Story of Porcupine Tree. Penned by author Rich Wilson, who also wrote Lifting Shadows, the Unauthorized Biography of Dream Theater, the book features original and archived interviews with former band members, friends, and others.
The book will span all 17 years of Porcupine Tree’s career, looking in-depth at the group’s inception, their creative process, and the history behind each of the band’s 10 studio albums. The unauthorized biography promises to offer a “complete and critical look at the UK’s last great prog band.”
Two editions are planned: a classic version featuring a hardback 300-page cream colored release with a customizable cover, and a signature edition which will come in a special display case signed by the author and will also contain two never-before-seen 10×8 exclusive photographs.
There’s not a whole lot of other information we have on it right now, but if you register your interest over at the book’s official website you’ll receive a discount code once it’s ready. Currently, no hard release date is planned, but the site does mention it’ll be ready for publication in late 2017.
