Upcoming Tour: Take Over And Destroy To Take Over, Possibly Destroy West Coast

I’ve long been a big fan of Arizona-based blackened psych-rockers Take Over And Destroy, whose music sounds like the grody crossbreeding of Dismember, Sarke, and John Carpenter. They make cool, weird music unlike that of any other band, and appeal to the weirdo in me who worships that point where heavy metal and Halloween collide in a flash of candlelight and blood.

So on the one hand, I’m excited to be the one to announce that the band is about to embark on a mini-tour that takes them from the South- to the Northwest, as they’re a killer band to see live (I hope they still use the old Lovecraftian lanterns!). On the other hand, I’m bummed that as a New Yorker I won’t be able to catch them on this jaunt. I would happily lose a Friday night at Vitus mentally communicating with eldritch entities as they play live.
