Watch: Robert Trujillo Joined Twelve-Year-Old Son Tye on Stage with Korn
Korn’s tour of South America with Tye Trujillo — the 12-year-old son of Metallica bassist Rob Trujillo — filling in on bass for Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu has now come to a close. But fans at Saturday night’s show in Lima, Peru, got a very special surprise at Tye’s final show: a guest appearance by his dad.
The elder Trujillo, who has allegedly been on the side of the stage each night supporting his son, joined the band for Korn’s classic “Blind,” and naturally there’s already fan-filmed footage online. Check it out below.
Korn recently announced they were canceling the majority of their May tour dates due to “unforeseen circumstances.” The band didn’t mention Fieldy in their statement on the matter, but it seems likely whatever necessitated a fill-in for the South American tour could also be a factor here.
