Video: Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin Berates His Drummer and Walks Off Stage Mid-Song

Throughout all of these Wes Scantlin on-stage meltdowns, many of us have had the same thought: “Why the hell do people keep paying to see this guy?”

For some reason, it was only watching this video of Scantlin’s most recent demonstration of high-class professionalism that it hit me: people are paying because they want to see Scantlin lose his shit. Which is actually fair, I think. Tickets are probably relatively cheap, you’ll get to hear a few big radio hits from seventeen years ago and feel a little nostalgic, and then a D-list celebrity who is completely dominated by self-loathing will remind you that your life could be much worse. Who wouldn’t pay for that?

By the way, in case you’re wondering, no, none of the dudes currently in Puddle of Mudd — including drummer Dave Moreno — had anything to do with Come Clean. Grown men who were on TRL once won’t stand for this kind of shit.
