Video: Guy Covers The Beatles’ “Eleanor Rigby” on Keyboard and Guitar at the Same Time
Did you know that a couple of days ago marked the 51st anniversary of the iconic Beatles’ song “Eleanor Rigby?” I didn’t either, but that’s probably because I’m not much of a Beatles fan. I acknowledge they were great for what they did and they were a stepping stone in terms of genre evolution, but they just don’t do it for me personally.
That being said, the talented YouTuber Gabriel Guardian clearly was aware of the anniversary and decided to cover the tune in his trademark style of playing guitar and keyboard simultaneously. Combine the interesting presentation with some interesting lead embellishment and it turns out that the end result is actually pretty awesome.
This isn’t the first time we’ve covered Gabriel’s stuff. He’s made headlines with our site for a number of his other videos including his excellent cover of Guns n’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine” (stick around for that solo, he nails it) and Pantera’s “Cemetery Gates.”
Before you start blasting me for this cover not being cvlt enough to post here, let’s all acknowledge that aside from the Ghost lawsuit and the untimely passing of Trans-Siberian Orchestra Founder Paul O’Neill it’s a pretty slow news day. So, with that being said, why not bring you something fun?
