Watch: Suicide Silence Set Guitar on Fire and Destroy Their Gear After London Set
Just last week Suicide Silence destroyed their gear on stage after a show in Russia. Naturally this led to all sorts of jabs from disgruntled fans about the quality of their latest album (which we quite enjoyed, by the way).
Now it seems the band has taken to making a habit of massacring perfectly good instruments after their gigs: SS fan David Tan captured the carnage after Friday night’s show (March 24th) at KOKO in London. What’s more, the stunt was clearly planned in advance unless guitarist Chris Garza just so happened to have lighter fluid and matches handy and spontaneously decided to use them on his axe in the show’s final moments.
Are Suicide Silence just taking advantage of cheap rental gear while abroad? Are they frustrated by all the fan backlash? Is this just their THING now? Either way, it’s kinda weird.
Watch video of the destructive portion of Suicide Silence’s set below. Tan says he’ll be releasing full footage of the show tomorrow at 6pm GMT (1pm EDT, 10am PDT).
