Video: Mastodon Debut New Songs Live at SXSW

So Mastodon gave some of the material from their new album, Emperor of Sand, its live debut last night at the SXSW Spin showcase. Unfortunately, all of the songs — “Show Yourself,” “Andromeda,” and “Sultan’s Curse” — are ones the studio recordings of which have already been released. Fortunately, the two that performances that have shown up online both sound really good, even with the clean vocals, which have been an issue for Mastodon in the past.
