Just how much will a complete member swap-out affect Scale the Summit’s sound?

If you guessed “not a whole lot” — which you probably did, seeing as it’s never been a secret that Scale the Summit is Chris Letchford’s baby — you’d be correct. Mostly.

The band just premiered a new song called “Royal Orphan,” and it sounds very, very Scale the Summit-y! The rhythm section is especially groovy and funky on this track, but seeing as it’s the only song we’ve heard from the band’s forthcoming album In a World of Fear it’s hard to know if that’s just what this particular tune called for or if it represents a greater shift in the band’s sound. We’ll find out soon enough!
