Without Waves Release Chill New Track “Us Against”
These Without Waves guys are sure an eclectic group, eh?
“Sewing Together the Limbs,” which we premiered in January, was a heavy track that stitched together influences as disparate as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Death and Between the Buried and Me. Now their latest, “Us Against,” which comes at us via Heavy Blog is Heavy, is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. It’s a slow one that calls to mind Filter or Deftones in their quieter moments, Smashing Pumpkins, King’s X… and it’s nothing at all like any of the bands we mentioned in reference to the first track!
How could two tracks by the same band on the same album be so, so different? Listen for yourself below. Somehow it makes sense. Like we said back in January, Without Waves are the cure for what ails your fatigue of easily-classifiable, cookie cutter metal bands.
Lunar come out on March 17 via Prosthetic Records can be pre-ordered here (physical, North America), here (physical, Europe), or here (digital).
