Six Feet Under’s Chris Barnes Denies Subtweeting Suicide Silence and Jose Mangin
Yesterday, we reported that The PRP reported that Six Feet Under’s Chris Barnes appeared to have taken a thinly-veiled swipe at Suicide Silence and Sirius XM’s Jose Mangin:
#Payola is still is alive and well in the music business..#lettheDJsingOnYourAlbum

Mangin, as you may be aware, guests on “Doris,” Suicide Silence’s much-maligned recent single which has managed to top Liquid Metal’s “Devil’s Dozen” countdown for three weeks in a row despite fan backlash (thus, Barnes’ hashtag). The theory that Barnes was referring to Suicide Silence and Mangin seemed especially plausible given that Barnes has had this tweet pinned to the top of his page since October:
My promise to you, the Fans:
"I vow to never release an album with clean vocals."
Yours truly,

Later in the day, however, Barnes flatly denied that he was referring to either Suicide Silence or Jose Mangin, and even went so far as to attempt to make peace with Suicide Silence drummer Alex Lopez:
Nah.. Just an observation ???? https://t.co/S9zcyFBumG

It seems like Barnes is just doing damage control now — I mean, who the hell else could #lettheDJsingOnYourAlbum be referring to? — but whatever, at least he didn’t punch anyone.
So hopefully that settles that.
