Rob Zombie(‘s Voice) Returns for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
We’re a little more than two months away from the release of Disney’s Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and the fans are understandably excited for the return of Starlord, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, and the rest of the gang.
Still, that excitement has been tampered by the lingering question of whether or not the original movie’s most beloved character would return. I’m talking, of course, about the Ravager’s outer space GPS, voiced by Rob Zombie.
Can you blame people for wanting him to come back? Zombie created a funny, engaging character that walked away with the whole goddamn movie. Of COURSE people are like, “Fuck Baby Groot, I want the Ravager’s nav system’s voice back!!!”
Well, you can rest easy, Guardians enthusiasts: Rob will return.
Kidding aside, uh… neat? Like 99.9% of everyone, I didn’t notice Zombie’s voice in the first film until it was pointed out by the filmmakers. But it’s possible Zombie has a more substantial role this time out. Maybe he’s even voicing a different character. Maybe he’ll get a nice Nathan Fillion-sized cameo this time ’round. All we know for sure is this: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is going to be better than anything Rob Zombie has ever directed.
The movie hits theaters on May 5.
