Listen/Watch: Body Count’s “No Lives Matter”
Body Count’s new single, “No Lives Matter,” is about as subtle as a kick to the nuts. But subtle isn’t what we need right now. The Associate Press just reported that the Trump administration “is considering a proposal to mobilize as many as 100,000 National Guard troops to round up unauthorized immigrants.” They’re working to reinstate some version of the Muslim ban as fast as possible. Hate crimes are on the rise, even in liberal cities like New York. Shit. Is. Bleak. “No Lives Matter”‘s message about racism and class warfare is dead on.
And as icing on the cake, the song is as sticky as dried blood. Listen once, and you’ll have Ice-T shouting in your ear for the rest of the day. Think of him as a cheerleader providing encouragement while you combat President Orange and his cult of sycophants.
