Let’s All Unite Around Immolation’s “Fostering the Divide”
Attila fight security, Jared Dines fights Suicide Silence, Trump fights truth: these are contentious times in which we live.
Thank Hanneman’s Holy Ghost, then, for Immolation’s trampling new track, “Fostering the Divide.” It may be about segmentation, but surely, it is a song around which all metal fans can unite. “Divide” has it all: concussive drums, vocals suggestive of festering bowels, and guitars that will make you feel like there’s a giant slithery Lovercraft creature sitting on your skull. If this isn’t what we want from metal, then for the love of Dio, what the fuck do we want???
Hold hands and listen to “Fostering the Divide” below. The song will appear on Immolation’s new album, Atonement, which comes out on February 24 via Nuclear Blast. Read our review here and pre-order the album here. The band is on tour with the Cavaleras and Full of Hell right now! Get dates here.
