Living Colour’s Corey Glover Sings “Painkiller” with Judas Priestess

Your first thought upon seeing “Living Colour’s Corey Glover” and anything involving Judas Priest together in the same headline might be something akin to, “Huh?”

But then you’ll watch the below video of Glover making a cameo with all-girl Judas Priest cover band Judas Priestess last month and you’ll be like, “Ohhhh yeah, it totally makes sense!”

Glover has pipes from the heavens. It’s no wonder he can hit those Halford falsettos better than probably anyone else working in metal today, including Halford himself. Who cares if, by his own admission, he doesn’t even know all the words to “Painkiller?”

Check out the January 6th performance at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ below. Glover gets quite the lengthy introduction, so the song doesn’t start until about the 4:00 mark.
